The Whitsunday Islands

The Whitsunday Islands are a group of 74 islands located off the Queensland coast between Townsville and Mackay, with most islands sitting within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The largest islands include Whitsunday Island (home to Whitehaven Beach), Hook Island, Hamilton Island, and Hayman Island, with most of the remaining islands uninhabited and protected within the Whitsunday Islands National Park.
